Comparison
Auladia and Alexia, fact by fact: which one fits your school.
Reviewed on
The short answer
Alexia, by Educaria, presents itself as a single environment for management, communication and learning for schools of every type, stage and Spanish region, with official documents for every region guaranteed by contract, management of school networks, Moodle and artificial intelligence.
Auladia is school management software in pilot for state-funded private and private schools, academies and music schools, focused on day-to-day work: the register with no signal, separated families, school lunch, the bus and SEPA direct debits. Its interface is in Catalan and Spanish.
If your school needs official documents inside its software, look at that row of the table first; if day-to-day work matters most, look at the rest.
What each one says about itself
Alexia presents itself as “Un único entorno de gestión, comunicación, enseñanza y aprendizaje”, a single environment for management, communication, teaching and learning, and says that “la inteligencia artificial está integrada en toda la plataforma” (home page). The company, Educaria, says it has spent “más de 50 años” (over 50 years) building digital solutions and has a “presencia en España, Argentina, Chile y Perú” (who is behind it).
Auladia is school management software for state-funded private and private schools, academies, and music and arts schools. It is in pilot and has no client schools yet. Management is done in the browser, the iPhone, iPad and Android app is in pilot, and both are in Catalan and Spanish.
The table: what Alexia publishes and what Auladia does today
| The question | Alexia, according to its website | Auladia today |
|---|---|---|
| Which schools it is for | “Más de 1.400 centros de todas las titularidades, etapas educativas y comunidades autónomas ya trabajan con Alexia”: over 1,400 schools of every type, stage and region (home page). The same page says it can manage a network of schools (“Permite gestionar una red de centros”) and mentions vocational training (FP) and “cualquier programa del IB (PEP, PAI y Programa Diploma)”. | State-funded private (concertada) and private schools, academies, and music and arts schools. In pilot: no client schools yet. |
| Languages | The website can be read in Catalan, Spanish and Basque (Catalan version). The languages of the platform itself are not stated on the pages we cite. | The app and the management screens are in Catalan and Spanish. There is no English interface. |
| Official documents and minutes | “Genera automáticamente la documentación oficial en todas las CCAA”, “Para todas las CCAA. Garantizada por contrato” and “Conexión con programas autonómicos”: official documents for every region, guaranteed by contract (management). Esfer@ and the RALC are not mentioned by name. | Official minutes and academic records: see their status on Coming next and what the rules require in the guide to assessment records. Exchange with the RALC, Catalonia’s register of pupils, not yet. |
| Enrolment and pre-registration | “Matriculación online y gestión de alumnos”, online enrolment (home page). | Yes. Online enrolment and pre-registration, without the family having to create an account. |
| Attendance and offline register | An offline register is not stated on the pages we cite (home page, management). | Yes. The register is stored encrypted on the phone and sent when the network returns. |
| Communication and app | “Alexia Familia” (App Store) and “Alexia Aula” (App Store) apps. A school can have “su propia entrada en las stores de Google y Apple”, its own store listing (communication). | With a caveat: the iPhone, iPad and Android app is in pilot, not yet in the stores. Email and SMS notices for families without the app are in preparation. |
| Separated families and split bills | Separate logins for each parent and bills split between them are not stated on the pages we cite (home page, management). | Yes. Each parent has their own login and notifications, bills are split to the cent, and court restrictions are never shown to anyone who should not know them. |
| School lunch and transport | “Transporte y comedor” and “Actividades extraescolares” (transport, lunch and after-school activities) are among its processes (home page). | Yes. The lunch supervisor sees the diet and allergies on the register without opening the health record. Transport is an add-on: the family sees when the pupil gets on and off the bus. |
| Fees and direct debit batches | “Adaptada al SEPA”, “Captura del soporte bancario de devoluciones” and “Estado del cobro del recibo”: SEPA, bank return files and payment status (management). | Yes. SEPA batches with pre-notification and returns, imported paper mandates, and the person who approves a batch is not the one who creates it. |
| VERI*FACTU | “Verifactu (Sistema de emisión de facturas verificables)” and “Suministro Inmediato de Información (SII)”, under invoicing (management). | With a caveat: built; it is switched on once we have signed the responsible declaration and tested submission with the Tax Agency. |
| Card or Bizum payments | “Venta rápida, venta colectiva y venta online”, including online sales (management). Card terminal (TPV) and Bizum payments are not stated on the pages we cite. | Not yet: in preparation. Today, direct debit or the school office. |
| Learning platforms (LMS) and integrations | Learning platform “Personalizado y basado en Moodle. Con contenidos digitales.” (single environment). “Alexia se integra con soluciones como Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Apple School Manager”, among others, and “También dispone de APIs” (home page). | Not yet: it does not connect to Moodle, Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. |
| Security, certifications and hosting | ISO 27001, the ENS and where the data are hosted are not stated on the pages we cite (home page, management). The company page cites its “certificación como PYME Innovadora”, an innovative SME certification (who is behind it). | No ENS or ISO 27001 certification yet. Data will be hosted in a European Union region, with encrypted backups in another European Union region, and the most sensitive fields are encrypted with a key that belongs to each school. |
| Published price | Not stated on the pages we cite (home page, management). | Not published. Pricing is per pupil, never per teacher or per family. |
When each one fits
Based on what it publishes, Alexia fits a school or a group of schools that needs, inside its software, official documents for any Spanish region and a connection to regional education systems, central management of a network of schools, vocational training or the International Baccalaureate, a Moodle-based learning platform, SII tax reporting or accounting. Auladia today does not connect to any learning platform.
Auladia fits a state-funded private or private school, an academy or a music school that wants to sort out day-to-day work first: the register in a classroom with no signal, two parents with separate logins and bills, a lunch supervisor who sees allergies without opening the health record, the bus, and SEPA batches with returns. Music schools have their own pack: one-to-one lessons, groups, ensembles, instruments and concert ticketing.
They are not exclusive: a school can keep Alexia for official documents and use Auladia for part of its day-to-day work, as long as each piece of data is kept in only one place.
If you are coming from Alexia
Alexia says its onboarding includes “la migración de la información y la formación de todos los perfiles implicados”, data migration and training for every role (home page).
We do the import ourselves, with your school office. We have no dedicated Alexia importer: we use the spreadsheet lists (CSV or Excel) you can export from it, one sheet per kind of record: pupils, families, mandates. Before anything is confirmed, we go through duplicates and incomplete records with you, and the import can be undone for 24 hours afterwards.
SEPA mandates signed on paper are imported and valid from the first month, as long as the school states where it keeps the originals. The timeline, what to export and what stays in the old system are in the migration guide; how we get started is on Switch to Auladia.
How we made this comparison
On 5 October 2026 we read the public pages of the official Alexia website and its App Store listing. Every fact in the Alexia column links to the page it comes from, and text in quotation marks is quoted word for word, in Spanish. “Not stated” means we did not find it on the pages we cite, not that Alexia does not do it: it may be on another page, in the contract or in a later version.
We wrote the Auladia column ourselves, and we are one of the two products being compared. It uses the same three states as the checklist for choosing school software: yes, with a caveat, or not yet. There are no scores, no opinions of ours about the other product and no app store ratings.
Spanish Law 3/1991 on unfair competition, article 10, allows services with the same purpose to be compared if the comparison is objective, based on verifiable features, and neither misleading nor disparaging. If you find a fact that is wrong or out of date, write to hola@auladia.com with the link and we will correct it and update the review date.
Frequently asked questions
Can Auladia replace Alexia completely?
It depends on official documents. Official minutes and academic records: see their status on Coming next and what the rules require in the guide to assessment records. Exchange with the RALC, Catalonia’s register of pupils, not yet. If your school needs them inside its software, compare that row of the table before you decide. Day-to-day work (register, families, lunch, bus and bills) Auladia already does.
Can Alexia and Auladia be used at the same time?
Yes, as long as each piece of data is kept in only one place: for example, official documents in Alexia and lunch, the bus or separated families in Auladia. You need a data processing agreement with each provider.
Can I import my Alexia data into Auladia?
Yes, from the lists Alexia exports as spreadsheets (CSV or Excel). There is no direct importer: we do the import, the school office checks it before it is confirmed, and it can be undone for 24 hours.
How much does each one cost?
Alexia’s price is not stated on the pages of its website that we cite. Auladia does not publish figures either: it charges per pupil, never per teacher or per family, and makes a proposal based on the size of the school and its modules.
Do they have an app for families?
Alexia has the “Alexia Familia” app on the App Store, and a school can have its own store listing. The Auladia app for iPhone, iPad and Android is in pilot and not yet in the stores.
What Auladia does
Auladia runs the school day: the register, including with no signal; notices and permission slips; separated families with two logins and bills split to the cent; school lunch with diets and allergies; the bus, as an add-on; photos, hiding pupils without image consent; and SEPA batches with pre-notification and returns, where the person who approves is not the one who creates.
In the demo you see it with a made-up school of real size, logging in as the head teacher, as a class teacher and as a separated mother. The interface is in Catalan and Spanish.
Today Auladia has no English interface, no card or Bizum payments, no connection to learning platforms and no ENS or ISO 27001 certification, and the app is not yet in the stores. Official minutes and academic records: see their status on Coming next and what the rules require in the guide to assessment records. Exchange with the RALC, Catalonia’s register of pupils, not yet.
